Payroll compliance practitioner
Since 2001, Cepeg Marie-Victorin offers in collaboration with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) an accreditation for Payroll Compliance Practitioners (PCP). This project results from the need for the CPA to meet the administrative and legislative demands of the profession. The program is designed for individuals who wish to work in the field of payroll compliance or who want to enhance their know-how in the area. More than 400 payroll professionals have obtained their accreditation through Cegep Marie-Victorin.
The professional accreditation has allowed them to forge their career in one of today’s most highly competitive business sectors.
The PCP accreditation gives students the background they need to work in the payroll industry. The program offers 168 training hours that allow students to gain the knowledge of payroll compliance techniques enabling them to handle a company’s annual payroll cycle, to communicate payroll information adequately and to understand the accounting principles linked to the payroll process. Read this document to know more about our program.
In order to get the PCP accreditation, the student needs to complete the following courses: Payroll Compliance Legislation, Payroll Fundamentals 1 & 2 and Introduction to Accounting. The professional accreditation is awarded once all courses are successfully completed.
Marie-Victorin’s Intercultural and International Education Centre (IIEC) has spacious, renovated classrooms and networked computer labs, which provide a pleasant working atmosphere. The IIEC provides an excellent learning environment adapted to the needs of adult students
